Achraf Hakimi To Miss Champions League Semifinal Return Leg Due To Thigh Injury

Hakimi ruled out of PSG's Champions League semifinal return leg

Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi will miss the second leg of the Champions League semifinal against Bayern Munich due to a right thigh injury, the French club announced Wednesday. The Morocco international picked up the problem during PSG's 5-4 victory over Bayern in the first leg on Tuesday. Hakimi faces several weeks on the sidelines.

The right back joins a list of concerns for PSG coach Luis Enrique ahead of the return fixture next Wednesday at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

This marks the second time this season Hakimi has suffered an injury against Bayern Munich. He previously missed several weeks after damaging his left ankle in PSG's 2-1 group-stage loss to the German champions in November.

PSG hold a one-goal advantage heading into the decisive match, with a place in the Champions League final at stake for the winner on aggregate.
